A little note in-between Vegas posts. I just read an article that was talking about how Candace Bushnell's (author of Sex and the City) new prequel to Sex and the City, The Carrie Diaries, might become a movie. For those who are not aware, The Carrie Diaries is a book that follows Carrie through her years of high school, before she moves to New York City. The article mentions some actresses that Candace thinks would fit the part of Carrie and the name that seems to be rising is who you might ask? MILEY CYRUS. Don't get me wrong, I love Hannah Montana. I don't know what draws me to a show that is about a girl who lives a double life as a rock star, or songs that are titled "Hoedown Throwdown" but something about them just makes me want more. More that is, until Miley released her "Cant' Be Tamed" video which was an absolute shameful display of wannabe Gaga dance moves and awkward facial expressions. I'm sorry Miley, but the truth must be shared.

Thus, I have reached the harsh, yet undeniable conclusion that there is NO WAY Miley Cyrus can play Carrie Bradshaw. Ever. I repeat, NOOOO WAAAAY. At the end of the article, there are some suggestions as to some other young starlets the author could see playing the part such as Emma Roberts or Miranda Cosgrove but in my opinion, no one beats Sarah Jessica Parker. If someone has to be chosen to play the part, I think that it should be someone who has yet to make a name for themselves. There are so many talented young girls out there that I am sure could suit the role so why stick to the same old and instead, take a fresh approach?
